KEIR DULLEA
Keir Dullea is an actor from the 1960s to the present. He is best remembered for his role in 2001: A Space Odyssey (as David Bowman, the astronaut who deactivates HAL). He also appeared in several other movies including: David & Lisa, The Fox, Bunny Lake is Missing, and 2010. He starred in the Broadway version of Butterflies Are Free, but was replaced for the film version by Edward Arnold. Note that Dullea was a very intense actor (with very pale blue eyes), which made him somewhat difficult to cast. When Noel Coward met the actor when the two appeared in Bunny Lake is Missing, Coward said after being introduced, "Keir Dullea, gone tomorrow", which is considered one of the greatest quips ever! As of 2021, he is still alive at the age of 85!
