ISAAC HAYES
Isaac Hayes was a black African American singer-songwriter, actor, voice actor and producer from the 1960s to the 2000s. The song Soul Man, written by Hayes and David Porter has been recognized as one of the most influential songs of the past 50 years by the Grammy Hall of Fame. He is also well known for his musical score for the 1971 film Shaft and he was awarded the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1972. Some of his movies include: Truck Turner, Escape from New York, Posse, and TV's "South Park" (as the voice of Chef). He passed away in 2008 at the age of 65.
