HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS (personality)
Harlem Globetrotters, the black African American exhibition basketball team who combine athleticism with theater and comedy. They started as a legitimate "regular" basketball team in 1927 (founded by Abe Saperstein, a Chicago businessman), but soon became famous for their comic antics. Over the years they have played more than 20,000 exhibition games in 118 countries. Brother Bones's whistled version of "Sweet Georgia Brown" is the team's signature song and they have appeared in a variety of media
