AKIRA KUROSAWA
Akira Kurosawa was a legendary Japanese writer and director from the 1940s to the 1990s. He is surely one of the three or four greatest directors of all time! Some of his movies include: Ran (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film), Yojimbo, Seven Samurai, and Ikiru. He passed away in 1998 at the age of 88.
