HILDEGARDE
Hildegarde (born Hildegarde Loretta Sell) was a singer from the 1930s to the 2000s. Her career spanned a remarkable 70 years, and she solely went by the single name Hildegarde. She was given the nickname "The Incomparable Hildegarde" by columnist Walter Winchell. Some of her works include: The Last Time I Saw Paris, Why Do I Love You and Lady in the Dark. She best known for the song "Darling, Je Vous Aime Beaucoup." Because she was solely billed as "Hildegarde", she can be confused with a different actress, Hildegarde Neff, but there is no connection other than their first name. She passed away in 2005 at the age of 99.
