JOHN HART

John Hart was an actor from the 1930s to the 1980s. He is likely best remembered for his starring role as TV's The Lone Ranger from 1950 to 1953. Some of his movies include: Jack Armstrong, The Legend of the Lone Ranger, Adventures of Captain Africa (this was intended to be called "Return of the Phantom", about the legendary cartoon strip character, but the producer discovered at the last minute that they no longer had the rights, so rather than reacquire them, the character became "Captain Africa", and the title was changed!). When Mr. Hart appeared at collectibles shows signing autographs, he would sign printed pictures that read "John Hart as the Phantom" at the bottom, but of course, that was not technically correct! He passed away in 2009 at the age of 91.
