EVE ARDEN

Eve Arden was a much-in-demand character actress from the 1920s to the 1980s. She was very smart and would almost always play the wisecracking best friend of the heroine. She had major success as the star of the "Our Miss Brooks" TV show, and she continued to play character parts long after that, including memorable performances in Anatomy of a Murder and Grease. Some of her other movies include: Mildred Pierce (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), We're Not Married, and Cover Girl. She passed away in 1990 at the age of 82.
